FULL-SERVICE STANDARD ITINERARY
 
DAY 1 meal PL / D  bed Pendant Hut
0600hrs: Meet at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and transfer to Kinabalu National Park (KNP). The journey takes approximately 2hrs drive. Mount Kinabalu is the main attraction in Kinabalu National Park, also known as Malaysia's First World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Once arrive at the park HQ, compulsory to pre-check in at Mountain Torq's office before meeting your appointed mountain guide.
0830hrs: Packed lunch en route and transfer to Timpohon Gate. A short briefing from the mountain guide before the start of your trekking journey for about 4-5 hours to reach Panalaban. Along the way up, observed the pitcher plants, rhododendrons abound and 1,200 species of orchids and oaks trees that had been discovered.
1500hrs: Check into Pendant Hut (3,289m) and settle in.
1530hrs: Attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
1800hrs: Dinner will be provided at Laban Rata Restaurant.
2000hrs: Lights out.
 
DAY 2 meal S / L / D  bed Pendant Hut
0130hrs: Wake up and early morning breakfast/supper will be provided.
0230hrs: Start hiking up to explore the summit, Low's Peak (4,095.2m) and expected to reach the summit in time of sunrise.
0600hrs: Descend from Low's Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer.
0630hrs: Meet your Mountain Torq trainer at the agreed meeting point for your chosen Via Ferrata experience.
1100hrs: Return to Pendant Hut for wash up.
1200hrs: Head to Laban Rata Restaurant for a well-earned late lunch. After lunch, recuperate from the 11+hrs day, have a well-deserved nap, sit in the sun (weather permitting) and have a cup of the famous Sabah Tea at the base of Pendant Hut while watching the therapeutic mountain scenery.
0600hrs: Dinner will be provided at Laban Rata Restaurant.
2000hrs: Lights out
 
DAY 3 meal B / L 
(backup day for another summit attempt if day 2 was not successful)
0700hrs: Wake up, pack up and have breakfast
0830hrs: Check out of Pendant Hut and descend to Timpohon Gate.
1300hrs-1400hrs: Estimated time of arrival at Timpohon Gate. Meet our representative and transfer to Kinabalu National Park HQ to collect your successful climb and Via Ferrata certificate or buy some souvenirs before proceeding to a restaurant nearby for late lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city area.
1800hrs-1900hrs: Estimated time of arrival in Kota Kinabalu city area.

Inclusions: Round trip transportation between KK town to Park HQ, Round trip transportation between Park HQ to Timpohon Gate, 2 nights stay at Pendant Hut - based on a dormitory bunk bed (day 1 & 2), Via Ferrata activity indicated above - Low's Peak Circuit (by default), via ferrata full equipment, Mountain Torq trainer, via ferrata certificate for successful attempt only, all Sabah Parks' fees and tariffs; conservation fee, climbing permit, insurance, mountain guide service and summit achievement certificate.
Exclusions: Extra drinks & meals, porter fee and any other items not listed in the inclusions list.

If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
