FULL-SERVICE STANDARD ITINERARY

DAY 1 PL / D Pendant Hut

0600hrs: Meet at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and transfer to Kinabalu National Park (KNP). The journey takes approximately 2hrs drive from Kota Kinabalu city. Mount Kinabalu is the main attraction in Kinabalu National Park, also known as Malaysia's First World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Once arrive at the park HQ, compulsory to pre-check in at Mountain Torq's office before meeting your appointed mountain guide.

0830hrs: Collect your packed lunch and transfer to Timpohon Gate. A short briefing by the mountain guide before the start of your trek. The trekking journey takes about 4-5 hours to reach Pendant Hut. Along the way up, observed the pitcher plants, rhododendrons abound and 1,200 species of orchids and oaks trees that had been discovered.

1500hrs: Check into Pendant Hut (3,289m) and settle in.

1530hrs: Attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer.

1800hrs: Dinner will be provided at Laban Rata Restaurant.

2000hrs: Lights out.

DAY 2 S / B / L

0130hrs: Wake up and early morning breakfast/supper will be provided.

0230hrs: Start hiking up to explore the summit, Low's Peak (4,095.2m) and expected to reach the summit in time of sunrise.

0600hrs: Start descending from Low's Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer.

0630hrs: Meet your Mountain Torq trainer at the 7.5km mark for the Low's Peak Circuit (LPC) - Via Ferrata experience (intermediate Via Ferrata, 4-5hrs, French Grade AD).

1100hrs: Return to Pendant Hut for a well-earned late breakfast.

1200hrs: Check out of Pendant Hut and descend to Timpohon Gate.

1600hrs-1700hrs: Estimated time of arrival at Timpohon Gate. Meet our representative and transfer to Kinabalu National Park HQ to collect your successful climb and Via Ferrata certificate or buy some souvenirs before proceeding to a restaurant nearby for high tea. Then, transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city area.

1900hrs-2000hrs: Estimated time of arrival in Kota Kinabalu city area.

Inclusions: Round trip transportation between KK town to Park HQ, Round trip transportation between Park HQ to Timpohon Gate, 1 night stay @ Pendant Hut - based on a dormitory bunk bed (day 1), Via Ferrata activity indicated above - Low's Peak Circuit (LPC), Via Ferrata full equipment, Mountain Torq trainer, Via Ferrata certificate for successful attempt only, all Sabah Parks' fees and tariffs; conservation fee, climbing permit, insurance, mountain guide service and summit achievement certificate.

Pick Up and Transport Arrangement

Pick-Up and Transport Arrangement:

> Our friendly representative will greet and meet you at the hotel lobby. Should you encounter difficulties in locating our representative, please call the hotline number given for further assistance.
> Please take note that all transportation will be based on Seat-In-Coach (SIC). This is a transfer service in which guests may share the vehicle with other guests. This is also a Door-To-Door (DTD) service with multiple pickups and drop-offs throughout the journey. Do expect some delay and short waiting time.
> We do not recommend you to catch your flight on the same day that you descend the mountain due to possible delays from injuries, tiredness and/or bad weather and traffic conditions.
> For 2 days 1 night package, the transport will pick you up from your hotel between 0600hrs-0630hrs (please arrange with your hotel for early breakfast).
> An additional surcharge of RM 40.00 per person will be imposed for pickup/dropoff service outskirt Kota Kinabalu city area (eg. Nexus Karambunai Resort, Beringgis Beach Resort).
> Our group rates are quoted without deviation, which means we provide only one return transfer for your group. If your group requires more than one return transfer, additional charges may apply.
> After descending to Kinabalu National Park HQ, all climbers are subjected to a pre-determined pickup time set by the travel agent with the last transport returning to Kota Kinabalu city at is latest by 1800hrs. We will ensure your possible wait of not more than 2 hours at Kinabalu National Park HQ. However, if you missed the last transport (which is unlikely) or wish to depart at your own preferred time, we can arrange a private transfer for you (subject to availability). Please take note that the surcharge of any of the private transfers will have to be borne by you. Private transfer surcharge - RM300.00 per van per way.

> Do take note that your passport/IC will be required for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office.
> Please inform us when making a booking if there is a special dietary request (eg. Vegetarian).
> Climbers MUST attend the compulsory Via Ferrata briefing session in Pendant Hut between 3 pm - 4 pm on day 1.
> Climbers MUST descend and arrive at the starting point on time by 6.30 am (LPC) or 7.15 am (WTT) for each activity on day 2.
> Climbers who failed to comply with the timing will not be able to proceed with the selected complimentary Via Ferrata activity. No reimbursement shall be made.
> Via Ferrata can be canceled due to bad weather for the safety of all climbers, no reimbursement shall be made.
> If completed climber details are not received 14 days before your arrival, an administration fee of up to RM 100.00 per climber will be levied for changes & updates.

If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
